Affiliate disclosure

Citadelle de Namur takes part in the GetYourGuide affiliate programme. Book a tour through a link or a booking widget on this site and GetYourGuide pays me a small commission. You pay exactly what you would have paid going to them directly — the commission comes out of their end, not yours.

Which links these are

Every tour card, every “check availability” button and every booking widget on the site. They carry my partner tag and open on GetYourGuide, which is where the booking is actually made and where your money goes. Links to the Citadelle’s own operator and to the cable-car company are not affiliate links and earn me nothing; they are there because that is where those tickets are sold.

What it does not buy

Nothing I can earn a commission on includes entry to the souterrains, to Terra Nova, to the Citadel in the Middle Ages or a Citadelle Pass. If that sounds like an odd thing to advertise on a disclosure page, it is the reason this one is worth reading: the most valuable thing on this hill is free to walk, the next most valuable is sold at a desk I have no arrangement with, and I earn on neither.

How it affects what I write

It has not stopped me writing that six of the twelve tours listed here have no reviews at all, that the two with thousands of them never reach Namur, or that the Bastogne day only drives through. All of that is on the reviews page and on every tour we list. A recommendation I would not give a friend is worth less than the commission on it.
